We are very lucky to have our very own early year’s teacher who primarily supports our Pre-School children. Our early year’s teacher will work closely with your child’s key worker to ensure that your child is being provided with all the simulating and essential experiences needed to prepare your child for heading off to school. Our teacher is always available if you would like to discuss anything regarding your child’s development.

Taking care of animals provides our children with a great sense of responsibility whilst developing empathy and social skills. Caring for animals can be a very calming and relaxing experience for children as well as an opportunity to assess risk. This provides many vital learning opportunities and skills that supports children’s transition to school and adult life. Children name, feed and care for nursery pets.
Our nursery enjoys great ties with our local community and we are often out and about visiting local sights and getting involved in events. We have built up a link with our local care home, and the children enjoy visiting to sing to the older generation.
We celebrate Christmas by putting on a wonderful Christmas show for friends and family each year. There's always much excitement in preparing for the show as we learn songs and organise our special dress ups.
We celebrate the big move to primary school with a special graduation ceremony each year—caps, gowns, the works!
Our nursery encourages children to celebrate festivals throughout the year. This is one of the best ways for children to learn about different religions and cultures by celebrating various world religious festivals, food tasting from different countries, and dressing up in the national dress of their friends.
Settling in Sessions
Our nursery offers settling in sessions. Parents can bring their child for a couple of hours first, gradually introducing the child to a new environment. Settling in sessions are aimed at helping your child to adapt to their new surroundings and become more familiar with the staff and other children.
In recognition that education begins in the home, we are fully committed to a partnership approach with parents. Parents are kept up to date with termly newsletters and parent focus groups. Parents are also able to keep up to date with activities going on in the nursery by following our social media accounts; Facebook and Twitter.
Eco Schools is the largest sustainable schools programme in the world and is designed to encourage action on sustainable development education issues. Our children love getting involved in their Eco Schools projects and learning about how to help protect the environment.
Our nursery fundraises for Children 1st and Comic Relief. We believe that taking part in fundraising activities helps children to learn about others that are less fortunate than themselves and understand how we can help them. Fundraising events are good fun and are a great way to get children, families and communities together.
We offer families the choice of purchasing a nursery uniform. These optional uniforms offer a smart and practical clothing choice for play at nursery.
Our chefs cater to various cultural dietary requirements, and are happy to accommodate your needs.
We accept your courier deliveries to make things that little bit easier for busy mums and dads.
